Welcome

2007 ~ 2008 theme

I have always considered it a privilege to be invited to membership of a Rotary Club. It is still a privilege to be a member to this day. The club has a membership from many diverse professions and callings and include many of the influential persons in Bicester. We have one common aim ~ service to our local community and the world community.

Many of our activities are well known by inviting the public to fund raising events for local charities such as Helen and Douglas House and the Air Ambulance. Other activities, that do not gain as much publicity, are our involvement with schools such as conducting mock interviews with school leavers and taking pupils of Bardwell School for a day out.

It is important to us to be a 'close knit' community so we meet weekly on Tuesdays mostly for lunch but occasionally for dinner at the Littlebury Hotel. We also enjoy a number of social activities such as special dinners or a theatre visit.

I cordially invite you to attend any of our meetings or our social events. Speakers at our meetings may be of special interest to you. We will list speakers and social events in the Club Programme page. Please call our Secretary to advise him of your intention to attend. Also, look at our in house 'News and Views' to gain a flavour of what we do.

I look forward to meeting you.
