Shelter Boxes needed in disaster areas

There is a very urgent need for more Shelter Boxes for the survivors of disasters such as earthquakes. You may have seen a news item on television showing a large transport plane being loaded with the green boxes ready for dispatch to the disaster area. More boxes are needed for dispatch and eventually when demand has been satisfied, more are needed to restock for the next disaster. Each box cost £490. Please give generously.

The full story behind the shelter box scheme is to be found on their site at www.shelterbox.org . Please click the link below. Donations, however small, can be made by cheque payable to The Rotary Club of Bicester (write "Shelter Box" on the back), and sent to our Treasurer - Rotarian Brian Penhallow, Meadow Cottage, The Street, Stoke Lyne, Bicester. OX27 0EZ. You can, of course, donate directly to the Shelter Box scheme using a bank/credit card through the Shelterbox site. We would be grateful if you emailed the Treasurer a note that you had done so and the amount.
